Frequently Asked Questions

Please text or email me  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Each counselling session is for an hour.

An initial videocall to help you to decide whether to start counselling sessions is free.

My usual fee for a one hour individual counselling session is £60. However, I also have some slots available at £50 or £55 for those on a low income.

I normally work weekdays between 9 and 6.30pm.

Some clients like to have the same day and time each week for their sessions, in which case I reserve that slot. However, it’s fine to vary the day and time depending on availability. Many clients book their next appointment at the end of each session. However, you can also book by contacting me via text or email when you’re ready to book the next session.

I will send you an email with a Zoom link for you to click on. The Zoom room will be locked so that no one else can enter.

In person sessions are held in my private therapy room in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, RG27 8FA. There is free parking right outside and I will provide further details when you book your first session.

I am committed to protecting your confidentiality and privacy. This means that any information that I hold about you and what you discuss in our sessions remains confidential. The only times this may not be possible are if I am concerned that you are at risk of harming yourself or someone else, or I am compelled by law to disclose information. In such circumstances I would normally share my concerns with you if possible before taking further action.

I am trained to work with many different issues, such as anxiety, panic attacks, depression, bereavement and low self esteem. I have particular focuses on trauma, such as sexual abuse, and also with supporting neurodivergent clients (including self diagnosed),

The work done in counselling is more focused on helping you to understand how past events still impact you now and learning how to cope with and reduce symptoms. It is not necessary for you to remember or disclose what happened to you and I will never make you talk about anything you don’t want to.

Book your free 20 minute online meeting to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.
